Sponsor Love: Lily Love / Choosing to be Happy / A Little Bit of This & That

What is your favorite hobby? My favorite hobby would have to be writing. I absolutely love to write. So much of my life have been painted on the pages of my journal for the past 5 years. I either write poetry or short stories. It's a total stress reliever too!

What is your most embarrassing story? We were at a Hyatt here in Hawai'i and I hadn't really slept the night before and while I was walking back to our spot at the pool from the poolside restaurant, I fell (I'd like to say "sorta-fainted") in the middle of the path. Face first, with my chocolate yogurt planted in the gravel surrounding the plants that decorate the 5 star hotel's poolside. Did I mention that it was during the busiest time of the day? Yeah, imagine that. I'm so thankful my cousins and I can laugh about these days...

Hi everyone!
I am Chelsea,
From Choose to be Happy
And I am so happy to be here today!

I could easily tell you all about me.
But where’s the fun in that?

So today….
I present to you my own little version of “my favorite things”
Sound of music has nothing on me…
It’s obviously the best. ever

If you never had a childhood and therefore are unfamiliar with this sweet little classic here is the tune:
Road trips on weekends and sunshine on beaches
Sweet tasting cocktails and bright orange peaches
Long conversations while eating like kings
These are a few of my favorite things

Sweet family outings and cute kissy poses
Game days in Crimson and smelling the roses
French toast with sugars, the full bellies it brings
These are a few of my favorite things

girls in formal dresses with no work day stresses
Sunshine and tanning with no inside messes
boyfriend throws a strike and the hitter cant swing
These are a few of my favorite things

When the weathers cold
When “last call” rings
When I’m feeling paleeeee

I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad

I would love for you to come visit me at Choose to be Happy so we can chat (sing?) some more :)

*    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *    *

Hello lovelies! I'm Michelle from a little bit of this & that and I'm so happy to be a sponsor for Love is Everywhere.  Katie is a sweetheart and I love reading her blog!

*When did you begin blogging and what inspired you? I began blogging just a mere four months ago in January.  I can happily say that blogging has changed my life!  It has been such an amazing experience and I've met so many wonderful people.  :)   I was inspired by others in the blog world!  Last year,  I began to notice a lot of baking blogs as I scoured the Internet for recipes (baking is another passion of mine) and started to follow them.  I thought that creating a blog would be a great creative outlet for me so I put "create a blog" on my bucket list.  When the new year began,  I knew it was the right time for me to cross it off my bucket list and get blogging! And here I am :)

*Do you have any features you created on your blog? If so, tell us about them/it. I have a few features that I am very happy to share with all of you.  I love link ups!  When I began blogging, I starting linking up each week with other blogs and I met so many amazing bloggers that way.   I decided that I thought it would be fun to create a few link ups of my own.
Last month,  I created two one-time link ups called Me on the Map and You Say It's Your Birthday.  Me on the Map was a link up where I asked bloggers to share where they live and highlight their town to allow readers to know more about where they come from.  In the You Say It's Your Birthday link up,  I asked bloggers to share their dream birthday or favorite birthday celebration with us.  Both link ups received such a great response that I'm trying to come up with a weekly link up!  Until then, I currently have a few series running on my blog. On Mondays,  I host a two-part dating series: Not Another Bad Date where I share bad dating stories sent in by bloggers (shared anonymously unless otherwise noted) and The Road to Finding Love where I share bloggers dating stories that have a happy ending.

I also co-host a series/soon-to-be link up called Tastes & Travels where we share food, fashion, and destination information as we virtually travel the world! It just started this month, I hope you'll come visit and travel the world with us :)

*What is your favorite hobby and when did it begin? I love to write, take pictures, use photoshop programs, as well as cook and bake.   I couldn't just pick one hobby.  These are all my favorites and I have a few more that I enjoy as well.  I've always considered myself a creative person.  I always had interest in photography.  My camera has always come everywhere with me.   I've also always loved technology and was given my first computer in elementary school.  I began writing and using programs and have been hooked ever since!  As far as cooking and baking goes,  that is something that is new to me within the last year or so.  I love learning more and more each time I'm in the kitchen.  Blogging has quickly become another hobby of mine and I'm glad that I'm able to bring all of my other favorite hobbies into my blog.

*What do you want to do with your life, do you have a passion for something you’re working towards? My current passion is my job.  I am a teacher and am very lucky to love and adore my job and students!  I teach Special Education in an elementary school and my kids mean the absolutely world to me!  I couldn't imagine waking up each day to go to a different job.

*Do you have advice for other bloggers who are just starting off? My advice to you would be to make your blog your own space.  Don't try to be follow anyone else's style .. just BE YOU!   Once you have created your blog, visit other blogs and leave comments... you'll be sure to make friends in no time!

I love new friends!  You can find me here ...

Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

Awkward:
- Walking into work at 6:30am only to be greeted by a duck outside the front door. It quacked at me and I replied, "well hello there.." I stopped to admire him until this delivery man pulled up. It must have looked like we were having one intense conversation.
- Pressing the unlock button on my car keys as I was walking towards our backdoor. I guess it only works on cars, huh?
- Out to dinner with some friends and I ordered a sweet & tasty margarita. The waiter came back to ask if we wanted more. I asked him with so much excitement.. "are they free refills?"... he smiled and said.. "uhm.. no.."
- When you say hi to someone at work and happen to pass bye them not just 1 or 2 or 3 more times but 4. It becomes a little over the top with hello's and how are you's. More of an understanding where you just do a quick smile, lol.

Awesome:
- So psyched for the first CT Blogger Meetup this weekend ♥
- Going to visit my dear friend, Sherry on Sunday. She's such a wonderful woman!
- My little bro is having his Jr Prom this weekend. I can't wait to take pictures of him. Time flies bye so damn fast.
- It's been raining all week and you know what? I'm actually okay with it. It's been a beautiful week of rain. Charlie's grass in the front yard that he worked so hard on is finally growing!
- Gave the couple I did Engagement Photos of their disc. They were in love with all of the photos. That makes me feel very proud to see them so happy :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm a wee bit late joining but I'm here. This may be short but sweet. I'm sitting here pretty soaked from dancing in the rain after dinner. It was worth it! I feel refreshed ♥

Do you see what I see?

One day last week I got this idea in my head.
Thought: Let's try to find things outside that look like letters!
Letters: They need to spell L.O.V.E.
The hunt was on.... and it was a success. I hope you see what I see ♥

My goal now is to try and find new objects to spell this out each week. We need more Love, right? :)

Guest Blogger: Brooklyn @ The Frog Princess

Hey guys! My name is Brooklyn McKenna and I’m super-duper excited to be visiting Katie's blog today!
You can visit ME at thefrogprincess16.blogspot.com

Since Katie's blog is all about romance and love, I thought I'd start out by sharing with you the story of how I got asked to my Senior Cotillion. (aka Senior Prom)

So I live in Utah, and in Utah we don't just walk up to someone and ask if they would like to go to the dance with us. It has to be creative. This usually means something being delivered to your classroom or door-bell ditching your house and leaving something on the porch. So here is how my best friend asked me to our Senior Cotillion...

He set it up like a puzzle. There were 4 pieces with cute things written on them that fit together at the end to ask me to the dance. Check it out below!

This one I got in my locker before Statistics.

This one was hidden across the street from my house. (How he ever expected me to find that I don’t know haha)

This one was on my kitchen table. (Yes, he snuck in my back door while I was out front.)

This one was by the mailbox.

On the back of all the pieces were some partial words that I had to put together.
Here’s the final outcome with a quote from The Little Mermaid on Broadway!

I absolutely loved the way he asked me, and of course I said yes :)

Isn't he the sweetest? <3
So now that we've had some romance let's learn about the blogger that is Brooklyn McKenna (that's me!)

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I started my blog as a way for me to share my thoughts and feelings as well as spread the news that LIFE IS WONDERFUL! I’ve always loved to write and blogging gives me a chance to do that without having to worry so much about the technicalities of writing. I love to spread hope and sunshine through my blog and through the way I live my life. I’m not perfect, but I’m perfectly me!

I love to dress up in big, gorgeous dresses and go out dancing but I also love to wear comfy sweats and a t-shirt and stay in and cuddle up with a good book or watch a movie.

I’m not too crafty or sporty, and I’m coming to terms with the fact that those are not my talents. I love Disney movies and I love music! I mostly lean toward country and pop music but I’ll pretty much listen to anything. I’m very emotional and sensitive but I’m passionate.

I'm a hopeless romantic who loves to watch chick-flicks or read romance novels in my spare time. I dream of being a mommy and wife when I "grow up" :)

I love to sing, dance, and cook! I teach piano lessons to the children in my neighborhood and I have recently taken up tutoring. I love my job!

I love blogging!
I blog about things from my perfect wedding, to quotes and stories that have inspired me. I share the things I’m learning in my life and the books I’m reading. Feel free to drop on by and explore my blog, you won't be disappointed :)

A Wedding filled with Love

Sending tons of love your way on this rainy and relaxing Sunday♥

This weekend my family and I headed down to Pennsylvania for my cousin's Wedding. It was really lovely, unique and just plain old beautiful! They have a dog, Hayden together who walked down the aisle and it just 'awweed' me completely! It gave me the idea that when someday Charlie & I get married we'll have little Peanut. The place they had the ceremony and reception was so vintage!

From top to bottom: *Charlie & I during cocktail hour!  *The lovebirds, Pat & Amy!  *The Old Mill where the wedding took place!  *Just a little table decor, so beautiful!

Sponsor Love: Words Alone & Fabulous Fashions 4 Sensible Style

Hello there!!  My name is Allie and I write Words Alone.

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in December with a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies, emphasis in the Development of Women's Social Rights.  I am currently working at a plasma center until I decide to start grad school.  I'm originally from the eastern part of Oklahoma and consider myself a country girl.

I enjoy to read, write, dance, cook, and spend time with those I care about.  I have some of the best friends a girl could ask for.  We tend to get ourselves in trouble a lot., but it's always worth it!  I have found the love of my life and am so very thankful for that.  We have two precious dogs.  One is a pit bull terrier, the other is half pit bull half random bird dog breed.  We call them our children, they act like kids most of time anyway.

My blog, Words Alone, is about my search for beauty, meaning, and myself through words.  I write about daily adventures, recipes I find or come up with, and other random things.  The meaning behind the title is that words alone cannot define me, but they can tell quite a story about me.
I do a few features on my blog, Wordless Wednesday (which some know is just a picture entry) and Obscure Monday.  Obscure Monday is something I came up with that I hadn't seen around the blogging world.  It provides a unique look at who I am.  In it I find an obscure movie that most have never seen and review it.  I'll give the premise of the movie, what I liked and didn't like, and my overall thoughts on it.  I don't give away the twists, I want people to step outside the box and watch something they wouldn't normally watch.  I've always loved weird, B-movies so this is just an extension of that love.
My blog originally started as an assignment for a class, but it has evolved quite a bit since then.  I have grown to love the blogging world and all my blogging friends.  I always enjoy meeting new people and learning about life outside of Oklahoma.  You can email me at ogleam[at]hotmail[dot]com

Love!!!

Happy Tuesday, "Love is Everywhere" readers!
This is Liesl from "Fabulous Fashions 4 Sensible Style," and I am so excited to be a sponsor of Katie's inspirational blog, and have been so happy to see how quickly it has grown in such a short amount of time!

I am an actor living in LA who spends notable time in NYC, I have a passion for design and just love fashion!  However, over the years, I found that I got the most compliments, be it from family, friends, strangers, people in the music, fashion, or entertainment industry, etc., on things that cost me the least amount of money, and held anything but name brand tags from designer stores.

Therefore, the concept of my blog grew from my belief that fabulous fashion can be achieved at an affordable price.  The key is in how you put everything together and a simple smile as your best accessory! :)

On my blog, I help readers create their own sensible style, which I often refer to as cheap and cheerful.  All by putting together celebrity and reader request "Looks 4 Less," showcasing looks I have sported with a complete price breakdown called "Look of the Day," as well as an assortment of affordable fashions with links to each piece to make buying them easy, some affordable online shopping sites and lots of discounts to help you save even more!

Aside from fashion, you will find a "Get Crafty" segment, from time to time, featuring easy DIY projects I have come up with, as well as some healthy recipes and "Picture Shows" from my many adventures and road trips.  Since recently getting engaged, I have taken part in "Wedding Wednesday," which offers bits from my wedding planning and wedding inspiration in general.

Feel free to stop by my blog, facebook and/or bloglovin' pages and say, "hiii!"  Thank you so much for reading a little about moi, and be sure to let everyone know about Katie and "Love is Everywhere" because it is a stop in blogland, as I refer to it, that needs to be make! :)

Sending endless smiles your way, but remember to take one and wear it with your next outfit! :)

Sharing a Love Story ♥

Today we have a beautiful story told in quite a unique way. I just adore how Momma-Kana and her hubby put their story together. Enjoy and spread the love! :)

*     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *     *

Our love story is one for the record book I tell ya'
....once upon a time.... blah blah blah.... and they lived happily ever after. the end.

Okay, so that is not really how it went but for some reason I feel sheepish! So here is my "She said/He said" version. (version may be different from boys)
She is from Sacramento, CA.
He is from South Jordan UT.
Source: Adriapparel

She was going to school at BYU -Hawaii. She was studying Tourism and Hospitality.
He was going to school at BYU-Provo. He was studying Chemical Engineering.

She was offered and internship in Provo.
He was offered a scholarship in Provo.

She wanted to room with mission friends.
He wanted to room with his brother.

She was hanging up a white-board.
He walked in the apt.

She was pretty mad because she knew He was there only to see if cute girls resided in the apt. He got the vibe that He was not wanted by me and shortly left.

She got scolded at by said roommates for being rude. So she made it a point to be extra nice next time she saw him. She saw him with a little blond girl walking to the car. She stopped trying to be nice after that.

He invited her to make pies one night,
She was awfully confused (thought he had a girl) but accepted.

They loved making pies

Soon the She and HE became WE and they loved to go longboarding, dancing, camping, and anything else that ends in .."ing" (kissing, hugging, laughing. fishing,  etc)

He graduated from school
She is almost done.

She said "you need to propose or I need to leave!"

She went on a rafting trip and ran a triathalon
He went to Tonga to make oil out of coconuts

He missed her very very much.
She thought it was over and her heart was broken

BUT.....
She saw him at the airport after his trip
He gave her a twirling hug

AND.....
after 6 months of dating and 2 months of engagement decided to make.,..
an offer on their first house!

oh, and get married. :)
Sacramento LDS Temple. This is for all time and all eternity

(note: find emailed version of how he proposed and pots it. It will KNOCK your socks off!)
hint: It involves horseback riding, airplane riding, eating on top of a mountain and lots of hugs and kisses

They loved their little house and soon moved on from making pies to making a baby... girl that is.

And life is life so after just 12 months in their cute house they said goodbye and took a good job offer in Texas.
Little Family at the Alamo
and thus "texas is for lovers" was born

All stories will be archived here. We would love to read your story so if you would like to share please visit for details ♥:

Awkward and Awesome Thursday (but it's really Friday)

So I'm not going to get discouraged by Blogger's personal issues :) I had posts that I wrote yesterday and a few set to go up that seemed to have vanished. So with anything that goes missing, we start from scratch!

Awkward:
- Trying to explain something to someone and repeating "....it's Number "N"..." They said "...excuse me?".. I said "...Number "N" like Nancy..."
- Eating yummy pasta that I bought from Price Chopper. I was starving so I ran in the house, pulled out a fork, sat down and just began devouring it. I look up and there are the two cats on the counter staring at me and Peanut licking his lips besides me. I forgot... they're hungry too!
- Blogger being down for an entire day! (I just had to throw that in there)
- I found these awesome solar lights that you put against each wooden step off that deck. That way at night when you step down you can see your way. Well a) I only bought 2 thinking we have 4 steps.. every other when we really have 6-7 steps! and b) Only one is working, lol.
- I sort of, kind of cut of a car when I pulled out of a parking lot. Then I sort of kind of got stuck directly next to them at the light. I'm pretty sure from the corner of my right eye I saw gestures coming from their vehicle. Sorry sir in the red car!

Awesome:
- Charlie and I getting to spend time with our besties Ryan & Alisha & their little baby RJ [our nephew ;) ] He's the cutest bundle of love I've ever seen in my 26 years!
- Having a cookout tonight, regardless of the clouds I see outside. Our friends are coming over, we're firing up that grill and just grillaxin'!
- My cousin is getting married, we can't wait. I love weddings and I found a wicked cute dress that I'm 102% positive Audrey Hepburn would have wore :)
- Went back to Bed Bath & Beyond to buy 2 more packages of those solar lights to complete the steps. They better work!
- I did Engagement Photos for a couple last Friday and they came out amazing! Truly amazing & I can't wait to share with the couple. I know they'll be happy.

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Aloha my friends! I was going to do another Vlog today like last week but I figured that may be an overkill, so perhaps next week! ♥ The sun is out so the little man and I took a stroll through our jungle of  yard. It's a jungle, because the grass is getting close to my knees. Alright, so that's a bit of an exaggeration but since Charlie reads my blog I figured I'd throw that in there :)

I'm loving that my garden (that's not quite complete) is still alive! I do not have a green thumb, but then again.. maybe I do? A little note: ignore the dead grass :)
I'm loving our backyard. There may not be alot but it's perfect for us. I just admire the view everyday when the sun creeps through the trees and hits the ground. We have a cute firepit that Charlie put together and it's ours. :)

I'm loving the sunlight, because it's there for us to help us live and grow.

I'm loving the little man who appreciates our backyard the most!

It's Wednesday so that means Love is Everywhere is joining Jamie in her fabulous Wednesday Feature!
