Guest Blogger: Brooklyn @ The Frog Princess

Hey guys! My name is Brooklyn McKenna and I’m super-duper excited to be visiting Katie's blog today!
You can visit ME at

Since Katie's blog is all about romance and love, I thought I'd start out by sharing with you the story of how I got asked to my Senior Cotillion. (aka Senior Prom)

So I live in Utah, and in Utah we don't just walk up to someone and ask if they would like to go to the dance with us. It has to be creative. This usually means something being delivered to your classroom or door-bell ditching your house and leaving something on the porch. So here is how my best friend asked me to our Senior Cotillion...

He set it up like a puzzle. There were 4 pieces with cute things written on them that fit together at the end to ask me to the dance. Check it out below!

This one I got in my locker before Statistics.

This one was hidden across the street from my house. (How he ever expected me to find that I don’t know haha)

This one was on my kitchen table. (Yes, he snuck in my back door while I was out front.)

This one was by the mailbox.

On the back of all the pieces were some partial words that I had to put together.
Here’s the final outcome with a quote from The Little Mermaid on Broadway!

I absolutely loved the way he asked me, and of course I said yes :)

Isn't he the sweetest? <3
So now that we've had some romance let's learn about the blogger that is Brooklyn McKenna (that's me!)

I started my blog as a way for me to share my thoughts and feelings as well as spread the news that LIFE IS WONDERFUL! I’ve always loved to write and blogging gives me a chance to do that without having to worry so much about the technicalities of writing. I love to spread hope and sunshine through my blog and through the way I live my life. I’m not perfect, but I’m perfectly me!

I love to dress up in big, gorgeous dresses and go out dancing but I also love to wear comfy sweats and a t-shirt and stay in and cuddle up with a good book or watch a movie.

I’m not too crafty or sporty, and I’m coming to terms with the fact that those are not my talents. I love Disney movies and I love music! I mostly lean toward country and pop music but I’ll pretty much listen to anything. I’m very emotional and sensitive but I’m passionate.

I'm a hopeless romantic who loves to watch chick-flicks or read romance novels in my spare time. I dream of being a mommy and wife when I "grow up" :)

I love to sing, dance, and cook! I teach piano lessons to the children in my neighborhood and I have recently taken up tutoring. I love my job!

I love blogging!
I blog about things from my perfect wedding, to quotes and stories that have inspired me. I share the things I’m learning in my life and the books I’m reading. Feel free to drop on by and explore my blog, you won't be disappointed :)
